Get involved

Three ways in. None of them a form.

There's nothing to sign up for and no fee to pay. Being part of BBJC starts the moment you decide to turn up. If you want to know how membership works first, the members page explains it — but if you're ready, here's where to start.

1

Come to the next thing

Even if you don't know anyone. Even if you're not sure it's for you. Check What's on for the next gathering, or follow the Instagram for the freshest dates. The standing invitation is a real invitation.

2

Bring something

A bottle, a record, a friend, a question, a dish. The smallest gesture is enough — and people remember. Reciprocity is how this club is built, and it starts with showing up holding something.

3

Tell us your idea

Most of what BBJC does started as a member's "wouldn't it be nice if…". A walk, a dinner, a film night, a workshop — if you've got an idea, the path from suggestion to happening is shorter than you think. You can run it under the BBJC umbrella with our backing.

Support the club

A way to back BBJC is on its way.

We're working out how people who want to support BBJC — through membership, a donation, or sponsoring a member's seat at the theatre — can do that. We want to get it right rather than fast. For now, the most valuable support is the simplest: turn up, and bring someone with you.

Need support, not a social?

If you're looking for wellbeing support rather than an event, that's what we're here for too — mental health, sexual health, befriending. Email us and we'll point you to the right part of the programme, or to a partner who can help.
